Cats have a much better sense of hearing than we humans. Your cat can hear tones that you can no longer hear. When a rolled up ball of paper drops rustling to the floor, the cat knows exactly where to look for it. It has such finely developed ears that it can distinguish the patter of mouse paws from other sounds in its vicinity.
